Pam Austin, 63 years old from Walton Day in Somerset, was first treated for heart disease 21 years ago, and recently underwent surgery, to repair a hole in her heart.She has a dedicated BHF Heart Nurse, Wendy, to help support her in her everyday life.
21 years ago the support of a BHF Heart Nurse did not exist,
“Wendy has made a lot of difference to my life. I can get to speak to her quicker than I can speak to a doctor or consultant and I can talk to her about anything that’s worrying me."
